Attendance is not mandatory but students who are not picked up in the lobby within 5 minutes after the end of the classes will be enrolled in the After School Program (aka ASP) for $7 per day.

     Tuesdays = Club Scientific (science) 2:25-3:25p & Flag Football 4:00-5:00p
     Wednesdays = Young Rembrandts (drawing) 2:30-3:30p & Cheerdance 3:00-4:00p
     Thursdays = Young Rembrandts 2:30-3:30p; Kid Chess 3:00-4:00p & 4:00-5:00p; and
                      Spanish 2:25-3:25p for all grades, 3:25-4:25 for 4th & 5th; and

Flag Football with the Northeast Cobb YMCA
       Two divisionsCo-ed K-2 and Co-ed 3-5
Join the NE Cobb YMCA for another exciting season of flag football. Play right here at GM with your own classmates. Flag football is a minimum contact alternative to tackle football that emphasizes the fundamentals of the sport such as passing, catching, and running as well as learning plays and strategies. No equipment required.

Kid Chess is an 11 yr old chess instructional company for kids. Main focus is on keeping the game fun for children while teaching them lessons that are important in life such as sportsmanship, problem solving, critical thinking, concentration, patience, attention span and other skills.  Participation in chess has been shown to increase test scores in reading and math. Our instructors are among an elite group chosen fro their chess playing ability as well as their ability to work with children, parents, & schools.

Cheerdance Wednesdays 4:00-5:00p  
K-5 grade, class will be separated by age/levels Cost = $95 (PomPoms & award included)  
Cheerdance is a coeducational combination class which combines the technique of Jazz, HipHop, Jumps, Kicks and the use of PomPoms. Floor gymnastics or tumbling will be introduced beginning with rolls, hand stands, cart wheels and round offs. This highly structured, fun, high energy class will incorporate a choreographed and themed routine.

Club Scientific
Session 1: Terrific Scientific

This session is full of the really big impact experiments. We will have Bernoulli's laws help us discover how many breathes it take to fill a 2 meter long bag. Exploring physics we will learn how to balance nails. And, we will experiment with polymers to create a plastic bag that you can poke spears through.

Session 2: Geology Rocks!
Do you love to collect rocks? If so, this is the place for you. In Geology Rocks we will discover the science that happens underground while no one is watching. We will explore geodes and create our own crystals. We will discover the science behind how rocks are formed.

Session 3:  Going Green
In Going Green we will learn how you can help! We will identify bird species found around your home. We will also discover the power of our sun as we make sun prints. Creating your own reusable lunch bag and making your own paper will turn you into a real environmental expert!

 Young Rembrandts Wednesdays & Thursdays 2:30-3:30p  Come draw with us! Young Rembrandts classes are structured and educational, introducing children to drawing with fun & engaging material. Students will complete a new drawing every class. Our elementary curriculum includes an art history lesson once a month. Register on-line OR mail/fax the registration form to the Young Rembrandts office. Please do NOT send registration/payment to the school office.

Golf = E.A.G.L.E. Junior Golf Fri 2:25-3:25p & 3:45-4:45p  
Cost = $129. Indoor PGA golf instruction. All equipment provided. Age and ability appropriate. Minimum 2 instructors per class. Kids rotate through stations (putting, hitting, etc,  also will review how to behave on a golf course).

Spanish Language Program Thursdays, Sept 9 - Jan 13
The program is offered in 2 sessions:
          2:25-3:25p for all grades ($215) then
          3:25-4:25p for 4th & 5th graders ONLY ($285.00/includes prior session, 2 hours).
